工作坊簡介

透過認識力學和電磁學，應用到DIY玩具設計上(投石器、電磁炮及過山車等)，製作過程中需發揮團隊合作完成項目。

​

目標對象

歡迎對科學和設計製作玩具有興趣的小五至中三學生參加。

科學世界有限公司

謝先生是科學世界有限公司之學術總監，該公司曾贏得由新城電台及香港電腦商會合辦之《香港傑出數碼品牌大獎2017「傑出STEM培訓中心」》大獎。擁有工程學碩士學位，亦於教師文憑中獲得A級成績，曾於跨國公司任職工程師；後任教超過三十年，至數學科科主任，任教經驗包括中學、任教中大校外課程二年多及短期任教師範學院（現香港教育大學）。現主要負責學術發展及設計多個科學課程，並服務多間學校及機構。現有為香港資優教育學苑設計及教導科學課程，為其教導資優兒童達多年。亦曾主持及籌辦26集關於科學的電台擴播節目「科學世界」，並於香港電台數碼31台播出。

Workshop Objectives

An introduction to basic mechanics and electromagnetism and solve some pre-designed problems.​

Workshop Description

Learn about mechanics and electricity and magnetism theories and apply on creating toys (a catapult, EM gun and a roller coaster).  Teamwork is important in the process of completing the tasks.

Target Participants / Prerequisite​

P5 to S3 students who have strong interest in science and mechanical and electromagnetic crafts.

Mr. Tse Chi Ting  

Science World Limited

Tse Chi Ting is the Academic Director of Science World Limited which had won the “Hong Kong Digital Brand Awards 2017 - Outstanding STEM Education Centre” (elected by The Chamber of H.K. Computer Industry and Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited). He holds a Master degree in Electrical engineering and got distinction in Post-graduate Certificate of Education. He had been an engineer in an international listed company in early career and become a teacher for about 30 years afterwards. His teaching experience includes teaching in secondary school (panel chairman of mathematics committee), School of Continuing Studies of the CUHK (now CUSCS) for more than two years and short-term teaching in the Hong Kong Technical Teacher College (now Education University of Hong Kong). Currently he has established “Science World Limited” and is responsible for academic development and design of science programs. He had served many schools and organizations. Mr. Tse has designed and taught science programs (forensic science, food science, renewable energy) for gifted children in the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education for many years (on-going). Also, he had run and host a radio broadcasted program (26 episodes) about science “Science World” broadcasted in RTHK DAB 31.
