工作坊簡介

課堂將簡介大數據、雲計算、機器學習及人工智能的各種應用。學生將在課堂使用人工智能套件執行物件及人物辨識，並控制伺服馬達和LED燈帶。

​

目標對象

本課程歡迎對電腦及編程有興趣的小六至中三學生參加。

科學世界有限公司

謝先生是科學世界有限公司之學術總監，該公司曾贏得由新城電台及香港電腦商會合辦之《香港傑出數碼品牌大獎2017「傑出STEM培訓中心」》大獎。擁有工程學碩士學位，亦於教師文憑中獲得A級成績，曾於跨國公司任職工程師；後任教超過三十年，至數學科科主任，任教經驗包括中學、任教中大校外課程二年多及短期任教師範學院（現香港教育大學）。現主要負責學術發展及設計多個科學課程，並服務多間學校及機構。現有為香港資優教育學苑設計及教導科學課程，為其教導資優兒童達多年。亦曾主持及籌辦26集關於科學的電台擴播節目「科學世界」，並於香港電台數碼31台播出。

Jonathan TSE

科學世界有限公司之高級導師。擁有工程學學士學位，曾於跨國公司任職工程師兩年多；後轉職科學世界近兩年，專門負責設計及教授人工智能課程，亦教授各種機械人及3D打印課程。對教授STEM課程甚富經驗，曾服務多間學校及機構。亦曾主持26集關於科學的電台擴播節目-“科學世界”，並於香港電台數碼31台播出。

Workshop Objectives

• To enhance the ability of students in integration and application of knowledge to creatively solve problems in daily life

• To equip students with a critical mind on the impacts of technology and innovations to the society​

Workshop Description

The concept of big data, cloud computing, deep learning and various applications of AI will be introduced. Students will have hands-on experience on object and face recognition and the use of AI tool to control servo motor and LED strip.

Target Participants / Prerequisite​

P6 to S3 students who have strong interest at computer and programming.

Mr. Tse Chi Ting  

Science World Limited

Tse Chi Ting is the Academic Director of Science World Limited which had won the “Hong Kong Digital Brand Awards 2017 - Outstanding STEM Education Centre” (elected by The Chamber of H.K. Computer Industry and Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited). He holds a Master degree in Electrical engineering and got distinction in Post-graduate Certificate of Education. He had been an engineer in an international listed company in early career and become a teacher for about 30 years afterwards. His teaching experience includes teaching in secondary school (panel chairman of mathematics committee), School of Continuing Studies of the CUHK (now CUSCS) for more than two years and short-term teaching in the Hong Kong Technical Teacher College (now Education University of Hong Kong). Currently he has established “Science World Limited” and is responsible for academic development and design of science programs. He had served many schools and organizations. Mr. Tse has designed and taught science programs (forensic science, food science, renewable energy) for gifted children in the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education for many years (on-going). Also, he had run and host a radio broadcasted program (26 episodes) about science “Science World” broadcasted in RTHK DAB 31.

Mr. Jonathan TSE

Jonathan Tse, a programme designer of Science World Limited graduated with a degree in Engineering (BEng (Hons)). He has been an engineer in a listed company for two and a half year. Afterwards, he has been a full-time instructor in Science World Limited for about 2 years, mainly responsible for the development of Artificial Intelligence course content and teaching corresponding program. He also has experience in teaching other STEM programs such as robotics and 3D printing. In addition, he served as the host and a committee member in RTHK CIBS radio broadcast program.
