Course Objectives
-
Demonstrate the principles of storytelling through their storybooks;

Create a storybook inspired by the illustration styles introduced in the workshop;

Produce a storybook with pop-up effects which fit into the storyline.
Target Participants / Prerequisite
Students who are interested in using a non-verbal, creative and expressive way to tell stories from your perspective to your target audience.
Course Instructor
Dr. Suzannie LEUNG
Dr. Suzannie Leung is an assistant professor in OUHK and teaches and coordinates modules in early childhood education and conducts ECE-related research projects. She graduated from CityU with a BA (Hons) degree in Creative Media, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and a MEd degree in Educational Psychology (on dean’s honor list) from CUHK, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (with distinction) and PhD from HKU.
Mr. Tony CHAN
Tony is an experienced production artist, who was the Guest Trainer, illustration training workshop for the project “Promoting diversity through children’s literature”, The Centre for Advancement in Inclusive and Special Education, The University of Hong Kong (2015).
